First black president - Historic election says America is board

Now that the election is over and the John McCain has lost the battle with the first black president elect, Mr Obama, it is hardly been a short time and it almost seems like the full impact hasn't hit the American mindset quite yet.

Perhaps it would take a longer time to imagine a president that does not look anything like any figures of the constitution. A president, who's ancestors had to fight for their own civil rights, seems like such a paradigm. For many an old fashioned American, this may seem a little difficult to get used to, for younger Americans it seems that Mr. Obama may come across as the obvious answer and that may explain much of the excitement and perhaps added appeal.

It will surely be interesting to see what Obamas decisions will be when it comes to foreign and domestic terrorism and detainee policy. This will likely be a fairly galvanizing issue allowing some of the more liberal Obama supporters to waver.

It's interesting to think that Biden will finally have a closer connection to the white house thanks to this seemingly random newcomer.

Watching the presidential debate between the Obama and McCain

It will be interesting to watch the candidates spar on foreign policy and economy in a short time.

In less than 10 minutes the debate will begin and they introduce the candidates.

Polls have shown that as much as 59% of those surveyed said that they expected Senator Barak Obama to come out ahead, so the pressure is surely on.

The forum is expected to be a free for all of sorts where they will cover a wide range of topics...

What makes this election season so exciting is the fact that there is no incumbent candidate running for office. Two fresh faces, one not so much as the other.

CNN is awaiting the start where regulars like Campbell Brown, Michael Ware, John King, Anderson Cooper and, of course, Wolf Blitzer.

John McCain wants to delay presidential debate due to government bail out

If it isn't clear by now that John McCain is desperate, you will surely be pushed over the edge hearing the latest news which features US presidential candidate, John McCain attempting to postpone the presidential debate scheduled for Friday, Sept. 24, 2008.

After making the surprise VP pick of Alaska Governor, Sarah Palin, it seems that John McCains campaign got a boost in ratings, but once a couple of weeks had gone by, Mrs. Palin has slid into a more subsidiary role on the GOP ticket.

Why would McCain attempts such a stunt? He claims that he is asking for this concession due to the financial crisis involving the $700 million government bail out for companies involved in the current mortgage situation.

One thing is for sure, it is not hard to see why Obama's poll numbers are improving. With John McCain evading transparency, people are expressing their dissatisfaction for the tactics used by the soon-to-be previous administration....that of the infamous George Bush Jr.

In many ways, some would say that the recent George Bush presidency seems like something out of a movie, and with movies like Fahrenheit 9/11 and others, there's little reason to see otherwise.

In W., the cast of Bush administration officials as well as many others are played out quite thoroughly in the new movie from Oliver Stone.

In a lengthy casting call, Mr. Stone presents a movie based on a true story. It will be interesting to see the public response in terms of how many people will go to watch this movie and what they will have to say about it.

9/4/08 - Sarah Palin officially nominated into VP position

If you were watching the lackluster Republican convention, you already may know that Sarah Palin has officially been nominated in to candidacy. It seems odd that the same GOP that is quick to ridicule secularists or leftists for lack of experience and touch with American society, but they now seem to be the most out of touch.

It appearantly isn't clear to the public that the RNC has taken at least as much contribution money from corporations as the democrats.

"We are the gun toting, god fearing, flag waving"

"We know the only place Senetor Obama wants to drill is your wallet."

Marcia Blackburn, congresswomen, spoke on behalf of the RNC. She claims that Obama simply wants to tax us and that will cost us more money, but when you look clearly at what Obamas' tax plan says, he has repeated clearly that you will actually be paying less taxes if you make under $250,000 a year, you will only be paying more if you make over $250,000 a year, which it can definitely be argued that many people who make that much money are currently paying sometimes little to no taxes thanks to all the loopholes in legallities based around issues in tax payer resources.

I don't know about you, but I don't see how that scares most people. Most people I've met don't even make $50,000 a year, so why would that tax plan scare them so much. Now the other part of the equation is whether we need those taxes or not. In some cases, we may...considering that the Republican administration of the last 8 years has surely been the costliest period for our economy and American blood.

No true American is gonna be ok with bloodshed for no good reason, although whether we like to believe it or not, those people do exist America that don't care whether someone dies or not, it's a fact, no country is full of perfect people.

It just begs the question, with an RNC that seems to be coming off as the usual my way or the highway rhetoric. Trying to increase police state activity. They say they want less government, but then they want to tell us how we should live our lives if we are nonconformists. I mean look at the military oil usage.

Many pundits are picking on the new republican VP candidate, Sarah Palin. She has finished an introductory speech that demonstrates her ability to go on the political offensive. She does not hold back when it comes to partisan politics.

Attacking the opposition in the Obama / Biden camp with questions about ethics and experience. The real question is whether she even holds up to her own standard. She's only been in the limelight for a short time and she quickly has become a household name, at least for now.

Some question her ability to lead and touch on social issues. Unfortunately to many, she doesn't seem to care much about social issues. She is against womens right to choice, yet she claims to be running on a platform of empowerment for women. What right is more fundamental than the right to give birth or not give birth? This is not to condone abortion, but is there not anything to be said for those of us that live a life of such illness as a terminal condition or some disease that not even want to be alive?

She only gives a tone of attack and an eagerness to act like a tough underdog...appealing to the hard right with her views on religion and everything else. Not really allowing any room for the secular viewpoint within the platform. What a shame that we have resorted to such partisan politics.

Some would go so far as to say they are using fear to try to win the election...as in the Russian/Georgian conflict as a way to scare people into electing John McCain as a war hero, since, perhaps they don't have much else to run on.

Sarah Palin may be an attempt to appeal to dissented Hillary supporters, but she has shown to be ultra conservative and may in fact turn off the support of many republican constituents.

A lifetime NRA member and pro-life politician, Sarah Palin brings a hard line stance to the ticket.

On a personal note, it must be said that the announcement came accross as a lackluster when compared to that of the Democrats. It's a region where tension has been escalating for quite some time. The separatist state of Georgia has allegedly attempted to take over Ossetia, where the environment has been leaning towards a Russian social system.

Ossetians have sought to breakaway from Georgian rule and so it is a conflict that has been in the making. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has made a special trip to convene with the Georgian President, Mikheil Saakashvili in order to make changes to a cease fire agreement drawn up as a followup to previous days attacks.

Russia seems to have infiltrated at least 2 cities in Georgia and they are taking hold and delapitating many of the facilities within the cities.

The discussion has now begun to focus on the future of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

We are losing our frogs at a frightening rate. By the thousands we are losing an animal that may not be well liked but is a very important link in our echo system. Our little princes are dying and scientist are scrambling to figure out why. They believe it has to do with the rise in heat. When an amphibian has no way to cool down they are more susceptible to catching devastating skin decease.

The rate that we are losing them is rather alarming. And it is not just happening with in urban areas but also in our wild life refuges and national parks. It is believed by many environmentalist that we have lost hundreds of species in the last twenty too thirty years. And were not just talking about frogs here. All types of mammal’s insects and all other important animal life perished in the plague that is known as man.

It’s a sad thought to think that we have wasted our precious echo system. But the important thing is that we realize what we have done and take measures to fight the inevitable down fall. This means working like no tomorrow to help fight it. What other life mission do we have? Have you thought of any besides maybe giving back to mother earth?

I know that as a human our true purpose is to pass on ourselves in form of body and mind. But at the time I believe that another one of our major goals needs to be that we help and love everyone that is here with us now. It’s important to uplift each and everyone that well allow it. Give them the kind of treatment you would give your family.

Think about the pain and the suffering that you have harbored your self no matter how big or small and use the feeling you get from that experience as a form of power that you can wield to give you the right of mind that will allow you to see everyone as you see yourself and your family. And not only our people but our animals and our echo system.

Let’s lobby like the fast food corporations do to lower the national minimum wage, or like the tobacco companies do to try and advertise to minors. If we used the same system that they use against us we can provide the planet with tons of revenue for reconstruction and anything else we can do to help nurture our planet.

We have all these doctors and surgeons that help fix us, well we need that type of help for our planet.

Also we need to start allowing each other to prosper more often. Imagine a world where a person is allowed to go and learn any skill without having to pay a lot of money. Or say everyone gets the chance to college but they have to pay off the tuition as they go. I understand essentially that’s the way it is now but that’s not the minds set that we are into.

The factions of greed and evil wield their power behind our highest political and economical officials. The food and drug administration is just that a drug and food administration, meaning that they provide a diet of unhealthy food that will drive you to having to take lost of prescription drugs. The ploy began a long time ago well before even this century. I'm sure some of you have remembered foods like spam and lard.

Foods like that are horrible and rotten and they will literally make you sick and or give you food poisoning. Now these foods are really not very different from say marshmallow rice crispy treats, toasted strudels and all other nutrient less foods. What they all have in common is that they are all designed to kill.

Even candy inside a health store is very bad for you. Go into any whole foods, Trader Joes or Henrys and you pick up any random candy bar or any candy and check the amount of carbs or sugar that’s in it. If it’s anywhere from 20gs to 30gs than if you eat it what it does in your body is raise your blood sugar. Every time we eat any type of big meals or candy we raise our sugar. And to put it simply if it goes up too much than it will first start to deteriorate your sight and make you sick to the stomach.

As your life progresses you blood sugar will keep going up and down everyday and eventually it will stop going down back to normal. And once this happens your body goes into a sort of shock that is called diabetes. And the vital organ that is directly affected is your pancreas. Depending on how far along you have diabetes determines which stage of diabetes you have. If it becomes severe enough you will have to take what is called insulin shot for the rest of your life.

But by eliminating everything you have ever learned from the FDA about food and nutrition from your mind and replacing it with knowledge about raw foods and alkaline foods versus acidic foods which you can find right on the internet, you will help to reverse this process of self deterioration or prevent it all together.

I mean think about it if you can prevent something from plaguing your blood line that will shorten your lifespan and can also cause you to go blind and or die suddenly, why not do what ever you have to.

So to sum it all up if we utilize ourselves to help to become the doctors and caretakers of not only ourselves but each other and our planet we can provide a future for our kin and our animal friends than well be bright and prosperous.

News update - President Bush is likely to veto a bill that seeks to have the FDA regulate tobacco further. While same say it is strictly poison, many still aren't willing to give up their smoking habits.

Teenagers will always exist and so there will always be an opportunity for the tobacco companies to get people hooked while they are young. They continue to stock so many stores and markets worldwide. It would be safe to say that the exposure to tobacco has become an inevitable part of peoples lives. Some would say we need to ban cigarettes, others say no on the right to ban them.

7/29/08 - People go on about there day following a magnitude 5.8 earthquake. Some think of it as a normal California tremor. Others are worried that it may be a precursor to something much worse.

Just southwest of Chino Hills, the epicenter has caused questionable damage to water lines and other infrastructure. It is now suggested that residents check their homes for gas leaks and other problems that may occur as a result of a strong earthquake as this.

It also appears that some telephone and emergency services have been disrupted throughout southern California including San Bernardino, Orange County, Los Angeles County, Riverside and many others.

Interesting Presidential Election Polls

As the race winds down to the final rounds, the presidential election becomes more and more sully with muck being thrown back and forth between our two headlining candidates.

John McCain may come across as quiet, unassuming and congenial, while Barak Obama has held a strong youth populist movement with his message of change.

Clearly the country wants change, regardless and that may be where McCain is missing the boat. He trails Obama in recent polls, some would say it is due to has lack of willingness to break away from the neo-con Bush family style of conservatives which are actually giving him a bad name.

Meanwhile, Obama has tended to play his political cards in such a way that give him strong advantages, but so far he hasn't crossed what many citizens would call a definite line of morality.

He has maintained a steady cool and collective composure and he has always used his linguistic prowess to ward off any over excitement. This is one of his main attributes which will surely give him a good shot at the White House considering his curious opponent.

George Carlin Dies

Sadly, comedy said farewell to one of its biggest patrons, George Carlin.

Carlin was known for his more lewd comic acts and his cynical views. He often went against the grain and off the beaten path.

It will be extremely difficult to fill the void that he leaves as an icon in American history.

Democratic candidates: Role of faith and compassion

In the recent CNN news showing with Clinton and Obama, Obama was asked several grilling questions about the issue of faith and religion.

In paraphrase: he says that his mother was at least somewhat distrusting of organized religion. Someone suggested that he try going to church. He eventually joined to be a part of the Christian faith.

He also goes on about his exposure to Muslim faith.

"Islam can be compatible with the modern world. It can be a partner with the Jewish faiths..."

Reverend Jim Wallace asked about the poverty rate in America and the world. He asked about goals on poverty such as cutting poverty in half in 10 years as an example.

The senator responds saying that would be committed to such a goal although he does admit that it would be an ambitious goal.

He suggest many economic changes including changes in the tax code and other major areas. Barack suggest heavy investment in clean energy. Investing in early education especially for the poorest and least affluent.

About torture: Obama has taken a stand against torture. He talks with an objective but also confident tone.

"I think that we have fallen into a false debate..." when it comes to church and state.

"People of religious faith have the same right to come to that public square..."

"What those of us of a religious faith have to do is translate our beliefs"

2008 presidential race

While Hillary Clinton is a huge front runner in the race for the 2008 White House, Barak Obama holds quite an air of charisma, especially with black voters.

He holds a vocal command over his audience with a deep and hard hitting inflection.

Regardless of whether you are democrat or republican or any other party line, you must admit that there are only a limited number of candidates who have the charisma to control a presidential audience.

When you are speaking to people on a national level, you have to talk on a different level than when you speak to a region or township.

Obama manages to transcend this boundary quite while who someone who is not seasoned in Washington.

Perhaps since the Iraq war, CNN and Fox News pundits, as well as many others, only manage to talk about the issues so much. A big area of recognition that is probably overlooked, is a candidates ability to sell.

It's clear in the world of sales, the sales industry and business in general, that in order to win, you have to have PR ability. Ability to speak and control the conversation, to have the credibility, to have the integrity or appearance thereof so that you may convince people that you are the one to take advice from.

New England storms

Parts of New England get as much as 20 inches of stormy snow with freezing temperatures prevailing.

This is not news however since December of 2007 was the snowiest on record in some regions.

A woman died and her child was injured in Maine during an accident. What else would be expected in such conditions?

It's interesting to see how much of a contrast there really is between different regions concerning the weather.

Area of Maine that got the most snowfall include Gardiner, Denmark and Auburn which got from 14-20 inches.

The people say that it is a fast moving storm.

The advisory includes staying indoors when possible and avoiding prolonged exposure to such harsh elemental conditions.

More than 9,000 lost power in Massachusetts and even more in Rhode Island.

It's hard to believe that some countries do not have the freedom of speech right we like to think we enjoy here in the states.

A Saudi Arabian blogger who was arrested for his political blog, may be freed soon.

The man, Fouad Al-Farhan, operates the website alfarhan.org and he posted an email to his own blog saying that he was faced with possible arrest for supporting a group of reform advocates.

He was accused of supporting terrorism.

It's a shame that there are places like this that won't allow the free discussion of ideas by the people and citizens of the state or country.
